Described by the Le Soir newspaper as one of the 10 the biggest Belgian building projects of 2015, the Belliard 65 project is almost coming to an end.
The renovation of this 652 m2 office building, in the heart of Brussels, presents an interesting architecture with regards to environmental performances and aims for BREEAM certification. The cladding of the building and some of its interior finishes are made of natural stone panels. FIXINOX’ expertise was required for the installation of the panels. The dimmensioned and manufactured anchors have allowed for a perfect installation of the panels with 3D adjustability.
The compagny’s expertise was particularly necessary for the anchoring of the cover present on the second floor of the building. It is made of stones which extremity is situated at 1.07m of the loadbearing and covered with a steel deck which stocks rainwater. At most, a load of 183kg can be applied to each anchor.
The project had the added constraint of the environmental requirements which gave an additional level of complexity to the dimmensioning of the anchors. Indeed, they are designed to allow for the insulation to be placed between the part of the anchor that sits against the wall and the horizontal part that ties back the stone.
This project perfectly illustrates the asset of FIXINOX, the ability to offer custom-made solutions that are able to satisfy all architectural requirements.
There is no doubt that this project will satisfy the multiple requirements surrounding it, thanks to the different players involved:
Architect: Bureau Archi 2000
Client: AXAGeneral
Contractor : Herpain
