MG tower Gand – High Thermal Performance Skyscraper

119 meter – Highest skyscraper of Flanders – Natural stone cladding on the whole façade.

This building is the main office of KBC Bank. 28000 natural fixings have been requested. It has high thermal performances according to Belgian standards.

Increased difficulties for special cladding items :

1. Solution developed for a “spike shaped” massive natural stones. These special stones are attached to the metal frame.

2. Custom made solution developed for the roof

A secondary metal structure with an omega shapes has been dimensioned and manufactured. It is attached to the primary load bearing structure.
